Three Cocks – Environmental Improvements
Dear Residents of Three Cocks,
We hope this letter finds you well. As part of the ongoing efforts by Three Cocks Matters Community Group (TCMCG) to enhance our community, we are excited to share the initial landscape designs for our green spaces and play areas, a pivotal step in our journey to rejuvenate our community’s outdoor areas.
About TCMCG and This Project: TCMCG has been dedicated to developing and enriching our community spaces. Thanks to significant funding dedicated to this project, we now have the unique opportunity to redesign our green spaces and play areas, ensuring they meet the needs and desires of all ages within our community.
Your Role in Shaping Our Future: We value your opinion and invite you to review the initial designs, which focus on new structures, layouts, and equipment. Your feedback is crucial in ensuring these spaces reflect our community’s aspirations. We accept not everyone will have an interest but wish to ensure everyone has the opportunity to feed in their thoughts.
How to Provide Feedback: Enclosed are the initial designs for your review. Please share your thoughts about what you like, dislike, and why. Also, let us know if you feel anything is missing. Feedback can be submitted via the enclosed form, emailed to threecocksmatters@gmail.com, or dropped off at 18 Gwernyfed Park.
Viewing the Designs: In addition to this letter, the designs are displayed at the Old Railway Garden Centre, our local notice board and will soon be available on the Gwernyfed Community Council website. We encourage you to visit these locations for a closer look.

Deadline for Feedback: Please ensure your feedback reaches us by midday on the 7th of February. This is your chance to influence the final design and create spaces that we all can enjoy and be proud of.

Once the feedback has been collated and shared with our Landscape Architect Reckless Orchard. Final alterations will be made to address key concerns or gaps raised before a final design is completed and shared through a community event 15th March 2024.
Please note we are in discussion with Powys Housing who support this project and we aim to gain their feedback to these plans as well. We realise the design stage is the easy part in comparison to securing the funding to build these plans. However, this will be a massive step towards this goal.
